ADHD in Girls and Women: How Speech Therapy Can Help
The image of what ADHD “typically” looks like doesn’t include young girls or women. Girls are more likely to “do that they are told” because there are more consequences for girls (“boys will be boys” after all 🙃🙃🙃) when they don’t meet the higher expectations set for them than their male counterparts.
