Prices for Speech Therapy for Language, Literacy, and ADHD
Mindful Speech is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies and currently accepts private payment only (credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards).
Current rates of service are:
Group Speech Therapy Rates
The cost of group sessions offered at Mindful Speech is dependent on the number of members for each group.
Each group will have its own price based on the number of participants, but groups are typically $60 a session for a group with 5-6 members.
Individual Speech Therapy
$150 for a 45-minute session
Individual therapy is focused on you or your child’s unique challenges and strengths.
Comprehensive Language and Literacy Evaluations
$500 for an evaluation
Evaluations include 90-120 minutes of direct assessment
and 2+ hours of transcription, analysis, and report writing.
If you already have a recent (within a year) evaluation report from a speech-language pathologist and/or neuropsychologist, you can send the report to Mindful Speech in order to make sure that the report provides enough information to give your child the best possible care.
How to Get Reimbursed by Your Insurance Company
A detailed receipt (Superbill) can be provided for all services and contains all necessary information for clients and their families to submit to insurance for reimbursement and/or credit toward a deductible. In order to maximize your chances of being reimbursed by your insurance agency, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network benefits.
I can send you a list of questions that I put together to guide your conversation with your insurance company. This will help you get the best idea of what your reimbursement rates might be. Contact me at hollis@mindfulspeechchicago.com for a copy of that worksheet.
How does payment work if I want to be reimbursed by my insurance company?
You pay Mindful Speech at the time of service.
Mindful Speech gives you a “Superbill,” typically once a month.
You submit the “Superbill” to your insurance company. Call your insurance company to figure out how to submit claims. Many insurance companies have online portals that can make submitting claims easier.
Your insurance company reimburses you if allowed in your plan. This is specific to your plan but you are likely eligible if you see the terms “POS,” “PPO” or “out-of-network” on your insurance card.
